The Forbidden Fort

Fort Caldway was once home to a great army. Its commander, Brasden Heed, was thought to be the bravest soldier of his day. After a long campaign in a distant land, the army returned to Fort Caldway with a golden idol taken in battle. Soon, the soldiers began to worship the idol. They became cruel and bloodthirsty and turned on each other. They killed Brasden Heed and fled, becoming bandits.

Now a descendant of Brasden Heed has offered a handsome reward for the great man’s shield which bears the family coat-of-arms. Most will not venture into Fort Caldway because of rumours it is haunted by the men who died in the mutiny, or because of stories of hobgoblin activity in the area. 

But you are not ordinary people.
